Coca-Cola Enterprises Appoints Target Information Systems to Deliver Business Critical Information Migration Project.
Coca-Cola Enterprises has its largest bottling plant in the world in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The 16 football pitch sized plant produces over 100M cans of pop every year and employs over 500 people.
Barnsley, South Yorkshire – 7 June 2010. Coca-Cola Enterprises built a 10 line production facility with an attached regional service centre in Wakefield twenty years ago. The site is modern, smart and a state of the art production facility for Coca-Cola, Lilt, Schweppes and other key Coca-Cola brands.
“It's a large, complex and busy site” said Head of Learning & Development Steve Platt.
He continued, “We needed to undertake a significant overhaul and update on our site working practices and have a great deal of data spread throughout our business. I'd worked with the Directors of Target Information Systems and have been impressed with their ability to manage and manipulate data. In this project which starts on 1 July 2010 a Target Information Systems team is aggregating our information into a single data resource which will go into a document management system later in the year.”
Phil Atkinson, Managing Director of Target Information Systems (Target IS) said “I'd worked closely with the plant to deliver a significant application to help with labour planning.” He continued “This massive information migration process is being led by our Senior Project Manager and our three Data Researchers. We will deliver a new set of training and quality documentation to the business in a very tight timeframe.”
“Coca-Cola Enterprises go to great lengths to ensure documentation is up to date and this audit and data consolidation is the largest such exercise the site has undertaken”
Target IS are helping businesses better manage, share and report on their valuable business information. Their services include manual data aggregation, audit and migration to other systems.
Target IS is open for business and is looking for companies who want to make a direct contribution to their bottom line from improving their business information systems.
