Barnsley Software Company Target Media Graduates Career

Media Studies graduate set to make future career at a successful Barnsley software company that provides systems for clients including Coca-Cola, the NHS and 2K Games.
Barnsley software development company, Target Information Systems, employ a new Marketing Assistant as they get ready for a new year of growth within the company.
Target have seen their business grow leaps and bounds this year and are excited to introduce their business management systems to new clients with the help of the Sheffield Hallam graduate.
Olivia Davies, 21, of Cudworth, joins the Marketing team at Target; bringing along her knowledge of media industries, and her understanding of consumers and target audiences.
Previously a General Sales Assistant in retail, the opportunity is a huge step forward in her ambitions towards a career in Marketing and Advertising.
Coming in at an entry level position, Target is providing Olivia with all the essential skills, knowledge and workshops for her to progress through the company.
‘I understand the media is such a hard industry to get into, so I feel very lucky to have this career opportunity which is so close to home with such a great, enthusiastic company; and to be getting involved in a role that is going to put my studies to use.’
Whilst at university Olivia produced a promotional video for a local horse riding school in Barnsley, which sparked her to pursue a career in Marketing and Advertising.
Target, which was only set up three years ago, also supplies software for Enterprise Plc and for facilities management company Sodexo for its work with BAE Systems and Lily Pharmaceuticals.
The company, which is based at Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre at Wilthorpe, has been supported by Enterprising Barnsley from the beginning.
