The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds is the largest nature conservation charity in the UK; consistently delivering successful conservation, forging powerful new partnerships with other organisations and inspiring others to stand up and give nature the home it deserves.

As a geographically dispersed organisation, with most spend devolved to budget holders, it has been a challenge for the central procurement team to obtain oversight into the contract spend over the organisation. With many systems on the market the organisation was cautious and wanted a company and software that would understand their requirements around contract management.

Target approached RSPB with their contract management and reporting system, Accord. Accord allows their procurement department to keep on top of their supplier contracts by helping them centrally store and manage their contracts and supplier data, while also making the relevant documents accessible to staff with the appropriate permissions.

Target have worked closely with the organisation to help identify business challenges and create solutions for their requirements around supplier data and contracts management. Through some additional development by Target, the Accord system now includes:

  • An integrated active directory to enable single sign-on.
  • Supplier updates integrated into Accord to avoid duplication of data.
