Robert Ellam Senior Software Developer

Robert Ellam Robert Ellam

Rob is our software geek.

Fuelled by his interest in the newest gadgets and technology as well as a curiosity in how computers work, Rob studied Computer Science at the University of Leeds. In his first year Rob received an award in Core Programming showing a natural flair for this type of work.

Rob contacted us directly for a summer placement during his second year of study. Immediately Rob demonstrated a real aptitude for software engineering and systems development.

After graduating Rob joined the software solutions arm of a multinational company working as an Incident Management Analyst. However, we knew his newly acquired skills needed to be used on developing systems for clients so we tracked him down and asked him to join the team on a permanent basis.

A keen sports enthusiast and fitness fanatic you will not see Rob sat still… he even works at a standing desk! Once a keen golfer Rob was captain of the Leeds and District Junior Team, he also played for Yorkshire and had trials for England. You will find Rob in the gym before work most mornings, he organises and plays 5-a-side football every Wednesday evening and can find his way down a mountain on skis or snowboard. Rob wins our most active trophy.

After work you will see Rob relaxing in his new house with his girlfriend, they both enjoy catching up on TV series such as Breaking Bad, Prison Break, Dexter and The Walking Dead just to name a few.

With his ‘like to keep busy’ nature, Rob is bright with a real attention to detail ensuring everything is organised and in working order. He is capable of extracting system requirements from clients to ensure that the delivered solution always exceeds their expectations. Honest and reliable Rob has become valuable member of the team.
